Five Brothers By Penelope Douglas

Penelope Douglas is the QUEEN of edging her readers! Five Brothers is a slow burn that keeps you wondering, "Is it Iron?...No, maybe Dallas since he is so mean to Krisjen; he has to be hiding something!" We have five brothers to guess from; well, let's say four because it couldn't be Trace....right? Overall, I liked that this book kept me guessing and not sure which direction it was going to go. I wasn't sure how I felt about Krisjen since she is just 18 and she was going through each brother like Goldilocks and the Three Bears: this one is too tame, this one is too nice, this one hits all the right spots! But she helped the Tryst Six find their sweet spot by bringing life back into the home and helping Macon avoid the same fate as his mother.

If you like slow burns, I would recommend giving this one a read. There is more story than there is spice to this one, but it doesn't take away from it being a good read.
